I received a great news about ‘Blade Runner’ from my high school friend who is a hardcore Blade Runner fan.
The word “人造P星 (The artificial P star)” on the signboard that I mentioned in the article ‘Some strange Japanese signboards in Blade Runner’ was not Japanese.
It is Chinese, ‘人造卫星 (Satellite)’ .
The shape of ‘卫’ is pretty similar to ‘P’.
‘卫’ is a kanji that does not exist in Japanese. and who knows there were Chinese signboard mixed with Japanese signboards.
So many Japanese Blade Runner Fans misunderstood that “卫” was written as “P”.
